Spring Equinox
Aurial poked her tiny head out of the hive and was greeted by warm golden rays of sunlight.
“The equinox is here; nectaring day,” she said excitedly.
With that, she hopped through the hole and flitted out into the meadow beyond. Her keen eyes darted back and forth as she scanned the grassland looking for her beloved gildfleurs. A bright glint in the distance had her buzzing joyfully towards a patch of the golden blooms. She set down gently on a petal, reached in and began drinking the sweet sticky liquid hidden inside.
“Heavenly,” she thought.
